We are a proud member of the Pacific Coast Building Products Family of Companies.$55,000 - $60,000 Annually Depending on Qualifications and ExperienceWHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position supports the organization’s environmental programs and in all areas of safety. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure a safe working environment and those standards, record-keeping, permits, and environmental concerns are maintained according to regulations. Assists in the supervision, development, and analysis of plant and production and quality assurance related activities; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the

Performs other related duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Coordinate safety meetings, employee trainings, and all plant compliances (SWPPP, CERS, Air Pollution).Inspects all plant machinery, equipment and vehicles as directed.Conduct Daily Hazard Hunts.Contact vendors and order parts, materials, and supplies needed to maintain plant’s safety initiatives as directed.Attend and conduct training sessions to develop the skills of the employees and communicate company standards and goals.Develop exceptional understanding of manufacturing components such as, but not limited to, 5S, facility safety, employee training and development, regulatory and compliance.Ensure that new employees including temporary employees receive general orientation and location specific task training.Ensure that the location meets all OSHA requirements.Ensure that Record Keeping and Documentation requirements are met.Ensure that all accidents and injuries are properly investigated and that the written report accurately describes the circumstances surrounding the accident/injury.Conduct routine environmental plan audits, report deficiencies, ensure that responsibilities are being met, corrective actions taken, and follow up completed.Support the Sustainable Development efforts of the company including but not limited to packaging reduction programs, energy and water conservation programs, etc.Facilitate sharing of good practices and procedures on industrial hygiene and safety, water use, energy use, waste minimization, and wastewater treatment.Research, compile, tabulate, and analyze data for a variety of administrative and Company matters.Prepare and present reports; draft policies and procedures; respond to requests for information.Ensure the compliance of company guidelines and environmental regulations.Order and stock safety and first aid supplies.Hold safety and committee meetings monthly.Ensure that regulatory agency required programs are readily available, maintained, reviewed, and updated on an annual basis.Ensure that company-required programs or processes are maintained.Complete monthly plant inspections and track written action items resulting from those inspections.Ensure all compliance measures are met as directed by the Plant Manager.Ensure that the OSHA 300 form is properly maintained and posting requirements are met.Complete a monthly safety report for the Plant Manager.On the job training will be provided!GREAT Benefits!
