Job Summary:
The Chief Inspector is responsible for overseeing all inspection activities within the Part 145 operation and will have the final authority in the return to service of aircraft, engines, and/or components. This role includes directing, planning and implementing the details of the inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Code of Federal Regulations. The Chief Inspector will lead a team of inspectors, manage inspection processes, and maintain the highest levels of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance and inspection activities comply with FAA Part 145 regulations and company policies.
Inspection Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate all inspection activities, including routine inspections, non-routine inspections, and special inspections.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and train a team of inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Audit Preparation:
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Problem Resolution:
Identify and resolve inspection-related issues, working closely with maintenance and engineering teams.
Continuous Improvement:
