Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing survey reports, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in various surveying technologies. The Land Surveyor will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide accurate data for construction and development projects.
Qualifications
Must have a current California Driver's license.
Must have a clean record and be able to pass Live Scan background check.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of field surveying experience.
Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field is preferred.
Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is preferred.
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License is preferred.
Responsibilities
Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology.
Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings.
Analyze survey data to determine boundaries, elevations, and contours.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate implementation of survey findings.
Utilize software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Revit for drafting and design purposes.
Employ GPS technology for precise measurements and data collection.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in all survey activities.
Maintain accurate records of surveys conducted and data collected.
Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS technology.
Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of geometry.
Experience in drafting and preparing technical documents such as Record of Surveys, Corner Records, etc.
Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
