We're currently seeking a highly motivated EMS Supervisor located in Los Angeles, CA.
Overview:
The EMS Supervisor will act as the subject matter expert in Energy Management Systems (EMS). This individual will oversee the installation, turnover, and use of our EMS controls systems. The EMS Supervisor will work with the Technical Quality Support Team (TQST) and use the EMS to encourage preventative maintenance, identify potential energy conservation measures, and suggest facility improvements.
Required Education:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, CS, Electrical, Information Technology)
OR
Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electronics-related studies with additional 2 years of experience to compensate for education on a year-for-year basis
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:Minimum of five (5) years' professional experience in building controls or a related fieldExperience with programming and controls database managementComprehensive understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshootingCompetent knowledge and proficiency with HVAC operations within a facilityExperience in creating and adjusting sequences of operations, shop drawings, and project specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with multiple controls manufacturers including Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta, Distech, Schneider Electric, or TraneProven ability to debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phasesExperience supporting installation personnel and other contractors on project sitesExtensive experience in performing or assisting in performance of commissioning of EMS
Responsibilities:
Perform HVAC Controls Design reviewsPerform HVAC Controls Submittal reviewsReview utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro commissioningReview EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy conservation measuresReview EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify preventive maintenance measuresReview newly turned over schools' energy usage versus benchmarks in design to verify performanceAssist in updating controls specifications to meet new federal, state or local codes/standardsAssist with implementing requirements to allow for integration of other controls systems (Lighting, Irrigation, PV) with EMSAssist in creation of district standard control sequences of operationsAssist with drafting Controls shop drawings and sequences of operations for small controls upgrade projectsReview of the feasibility of retro commissioning measuresAssist in managing In-House Commissioning ProjectsPerforms other duties as assigned
Salary:
$57.00-$60.00/hr
Bonus Pay:
