Responsibilities may include routine cell culture, cell banking, process development, scale up, tech transfer for GMP production and data analysis. Furthermore, this individual is expected to work independently on assigned tasks/projects, provide insight to improve processes, and communicate results in a timely manner.What You'll Be DoingContribute to the development of robust, high-yielding, scalable, and economically viable cell culture processes for the production of AAV products using miniature, bench scale and large-scale disposable bioreactors.Execute experiments and contribute to data analysis and interpretation.Contribute to process scale-up and support GMP operations through technology transfer and process troubleshooting.Lead or contribute to key developmental milestones including process optimization, control strategy, characterization, and validation.Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new methods, techniques, equipment and technology platforms.Contribute to experimental design.Coordinate with relevant groups in technical operations and research and development.Keep current with advances in technology for viral vector production.It is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.This role requires travel

To be successful in this role and help us achieve our goals, we are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline with 0-2 years direct relevant experience (Assoc Sci I) OR Master’s degree with 1+ year of relevant experience (Assoc Sci II).Hands-on experience with mammalian or insect cell culture, aseptic technique, understanding of biochemical engineering concepts and biochemical pathways is preferred.Familiarity with bioreactor scale-up and/or tech transfer concepts is preferred.Experience with cell culture / bioreactor operations and controls across multiple lines and scales - flasks, ambr, bench scale up to 200 L disposables, rocking motion, etc.Familiar with good lab practices including equipment maintenance and use of biochemical analytical tools.Intermediate computer skills using MS Office.Ability to perform assigned experiments and independently perform routine activities.Ability to process data into meaningful representations.Ability to understand the experimental process and objectives.Ability to perform basic, routine data analysis.Ability to effectively communicate information and results in the appropriate format (i.e. lab notebooks, presentations, etc.).Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.Why Should You Apply?By joining REGENXBIO, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing company and incredible team passionate about developing novel AAV gene therapy products to our patients.We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefit plan which includes market-competitive salaries, an annual bonus program, education assistance, retirement plan with employer match, stock options at all levels, summer hours and more!In addition, professional development is important to us.
