Overview of Responsibilities

Substitute Teachers will serve students in all grades K through 8. Substitute Teachers will be asked to teach or support in various grades and subjects where needed. This role reports to the Director of Community Engagement and responsibilities will include the following:

Leading instruction across various grade levels as needed (either grades K-4 or grades 5-8).

Execute the teacher’s lesson plans and report back to the teacher any concerns or issues from the day.

Social emotional learning support for students and manage student and classroom behavior.

Assist with various duties and provide support for teachers and students as needed.

Accompanying students and attending some specialist classes, as needed.

Provide short-term coverage for Lead Teachers or Assistant Teachers, as needed.
