This role will manage client relationships and will lead multiple project teams of economic consultants investigating corporate and financial wrongdoing to achieve project goals for those clients.Key Responsibilities
In this role you will manage a portfolio of economic consulting projects involving competition economics and investigating corporate and financial wrongdoing. As an experienced, commercial and relationship driven Competition Economist, you will collaborate with the project team to brainstorm novel solutions to the economic problems in front of you.Some notable responsibilities:Overseeing antitrust projects and managing a project team of economic consultantsConducting detailed economic analysis of antitrust allegations as part of the delivery of Fideres’ consulting mandatesWriting comprehensive reports that summarize the key findings of our analysis in a simple, succinct mannerProactively managing client relationshipsHelping to manage the team to ensure innovative ideas are researched and delivered for our project pipelinePresenting and explaining proposals to potential clientsHelping to track and allocate resources to achieve business unit goalsCoaching the team on Fideres’s processes, writing styles and analytical methodologiesMaintain up-to-date records in Fideres’s CRM and Project Management systemsKey Skills and Attributes
The successful candidate will have:Proven experience at a competition agency, in a sector regulator, or in an economic consultancyA PhD in Economics is essentialExperience of dealing directly with clients (such as law firms and/or regulators)The ability to communicate effectively on complex issues in simple termsStrong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in python or R would be desirableStrong project organization skills, able to meet deadlinesA high level of integrity with a creative and curious mindAn interest in coaching, developing and collaborating with othersAn appetite for networking and connecting people and problemsWork Eligibility Requirements for U.S Applicants Only
