We have an exciting opportunity open for a Director of Corporate Finance with the opportunity to work remote from AR, OK, MO, ME, FL, SC, TN, KS, LA, NJ, NY or TX.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Corporate Finance is responsible for leading the five-year and long range financial planning, company valuation and financial support of M&A. As a direct report to the company’s VP Finance, the position will play a key role in the annual and the long-term financial planning processes, including valuation modeling. Additionally, this role will support the M&A process through financial modeling and due diligence.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compilation of the annual five-year planning
Oversight of company valuation modeling
Oversight of company financial statement forecasting
Prepare and provide financial presentations for Operations leaders and Executive Leadership, with a proven ability to provide key insights and recommendations.
Ensure data integrity and delivery of high quality, timely financial information and analysis within the department and to other areas of the company.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Master of Business Administration, Master’s of Finance, Master’s of Accountancy
Ten years of experience in finance or accounting field with experience in leading the corporate financial planning function.
People management experience required
Energy/Utility industry experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledgeable and experienced in the aspects of senior management in a corporation including establishing vision, setting and communicating goals, delegating, providing feedback to employees, handling employee issues, and providing employee recognition.
High level of knowledge regarding accounting and finance principles.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand the value proposition of the company and to communicate effectively to external stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully interface with executives, senior management, teammates, and others.
Detail-oriented and ability to envision all aspects of business finances from large scale to minute
Exhibit agility and excellence managing in a fast changing and growth-oriented organization
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products with advanced Excel skills
Have demonstrated ability to oversee budget compliance in complex environments
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability
Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines
Can handle sensitive information with detail and discretion
