Beacon College is the South’s only college exclusively for students with specific learning differences or ADHD and is located in Leesburg, Florida – approximately one-hour northwest of sunny Orlando, Florida.
The Office of Enrollment Management has an opening for the position of
Director of Summer Programs & Enrollment Events
. This full-time, 12-month position will lead the development and implementation of
Summer for Success
&
College Edge , a three-week & two-week college immersion program for students who learn differently. The Director also plays a key role in the planning and execution of major events to support the enrollment of Beacon College such as Open Houses, Professional Fly-In, and others determined by Senior Vice President & Associate Dean.

The ideal candidate will possess a team-oriented spirit, the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituents, and the skills and motivation to deliver outstanding programming for students and their parents. This person has a customer service and innovative mindset to always keep campus branding and image in mind.
Qualified candidates must have outstanding communication skills, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, and have experience creating programming to support the transition to college for students with learning differences.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the admission process and enrollment of the summer programs including file review, student interviews, and required paperwork.
Conducts presentations and information sessions to recruit nearly 300 students for the short-term programs.
Coordinates the hiring and onboarding of faculty, staff, and interns.
Plans and books extra-curricular activities for evening and weekend programming.
Coordinates spaces for classes, activities, and programming on-campus.
Collaborates with program administrators on training, curricula, and policies.
Serves as the lead administrator on duty for the three-week summer program.
Supports intervention plans through active collaboration with the Leadership Team comprised of: Residence Life Coordinator, Mental Health Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, Medical Coordinator & Airport Coordinator.
Keeps records of appropriate documentation of each enrolled student during the summer program.
Coordinates the closure of campus including academic spaces and resident complexes.
Oversees the evaluation and writes concluding reports on student performance.
Conducts post-program meetings with students and their families.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
Mission-focused and motivated by success defined as fostering and supporting the success of others; must be someone who cares and is motivated by the success of students with specific learning disabilities and ADHD.
Preferred 2-4 years of experience in college transition programming, boarding school, and/or college/private school environments.
Ability to work independently and in groups.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
Comfortable and skilled with technology, including videoconferencing platforms.
