Salary Range : $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/yearJob Summary:
A focused and driven grant writer with impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, to maintain current grant files as well as build and grow the current grant program; also responsible for identifying and securing grant funding for our organization's programs and initiatives.Essential Functions:
The specific responsibilities of the position shall include, but are not limited to:Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals.Developing grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's goals, objectives, and strategies to potential funders.Collaborating with program staff to gather relevant information and data needed for grant applications.Submitting timely and accurate grant proposals to potential funders.Maintaining accurate records of grant submissions and outcomes.Providing follow-up reports to funders as requested or required.Staying current on grant funding opportunities and requirements.Knowledge of working with CRM systems to keep current and up-to-date data regarding the SJCS grant program.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing, or a related area.A minimum of three years experience in grant writing.Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and fundraising processes.Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the organization.Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources.Ability to search for new grant funding opportunities.Multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with external partners.
