The Division of Health Policy and Management, School of Public Health invites applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (with tenure) position. We seek to recruit up to two new faculty members. One position will focus on a scholar with expertise in aging. The other position will seek a scholar with expertise in one or more of the following area(s): healthcare workforce, rural health, behavioral health, or access to health insurance and/or medical care.The

The individual will actively contribute to the Division’s missions of research, education, and community engagement through the generation of high-quality, policy-relevant scholarship, the pursuit of sponsored funding, supporting educational excellence through teaching and advising students in our degree programs (MPH, MHA, MS, or PhD), and actively engaging in internal and professional service.Pay Range : $130,000-$180,000 depending on rank and qualificationsTime Appointment : 12-month, 100% appointment, beginning July/August 2025Work Arrangements:

HybridAssistant Professor (tenure-track)Required Qualifications:• PhD or other doctoral-level degree in one of the following disciplines or fields: health services research, public policy, sociology, gerontology, economics, law, public health, nursing, or medicine• Research and teaching focus in one or more of the following areas: aging, healthcare workforce, rural health, behavioral health, and/or access to coverage and medical care• Strong research skills with evidence of success in generating peer-reviewed publications, commensurate with experience• Demonstration of teaching effectiveness and promotion of inclusive learning environments• Commitment to approaching scholarly activities with a health equity lens• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures• Interest in collaborating with others in a multi-disciplinary research and teaching environmentPreferred Qualifications:• Demonstrated evidence of success in acquiring sponsored funding, commensurate with experience• Research interests that align with one or more division-based research centers• Experience serving as course accountable faculty in face-to-face and/or online learning environments• Interest or experience with engaging in state and federal policymaking activities or with community-based organizations related to area of expertiseAssociate Professor (tenure-track)Required Qualifications:• PhD or other doctoral-level degree in one of the following disciplines or fields: health services research, public policy, sociology, gerontology, economics, law, public health, nursing, or medicine• Research and teaching focus in one or more of the following areas: aging, healthcare workforce, rural health, behavioral health, and/or access to coverage and medical care• Established teaching or research record that is innovative and high quality with demonstrated potential to achieve a highly effective record in the other area (teaching or research)• Commitment to approaching scholarly activities with a health equity lens• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures• Interest in collaborating with others in a multi-disciplinary research and teaching environmentPreferred Qualifications:• Demonstrated evidence of success in acquiring sponsored funding from government and private foundation sources, commensurate with experience• Research interests that align with one or more division-based research centers• Experience serving as course accountable faculty in face-to-face and online learning environments with evidence of teaching effectiveness and promotion of inclusive learning environments• Demonstration of ongoing commitment to pedagogical training and inclusive teaching practices• Interest or experience with engagement in state and federal policymaking activities and/or community-based organizations related to area of expertiseAssociate Professor (tenured)Required Qualifications:• PhD or other doctoral-level degree in one of the following disciplines or fields: health services research, public policy, sociology, gerontology, economics, law, public health, nursing, or medicine• Research and teaching focus in one or more areas: aging, workforce, rural health, behavioral health, and/or access to coverage and medical care• Demonstrated record of strong research productivity in the form of peer-reviewed scholarly publications and dissemination of research, commensurate with experience• Demonstrated record of sustained success in competing for sponsored funding from government and private foundation sources, commensurate with experience• Demonstrated record of effective teaching and student advising• Demonstrated record of service, including internal academic service as well as service to the profession• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures• Interest in collaborating with others in a multi-disciplinary research and teaching environmentPreferred Qualifications:• Research interests that align with one or more division-based research centers• Demonstration of leadership potential within academic or professional organizational environments• Demonstration of ongoing commitment to pedagogical training and/or inclusive teaching practices• Interest or experience with engagement in state and federal policymaking activities and/or community-based organizations related to area of expertise
