What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Year Round Graduate Business Student Intern to support the National Security Programs Portfolio (NSP) and Division 5000 (D5K) Management Offices. This position reports to the NSP Portfolio Management Office Deputy.

In this role, you will support the team in the NSP and D5K management offices in executing strategic business processes and activities. This position is an opportunity for learning and growth and offers an outstanding view of an exciting and impactful mission area.

In this role, you may be called on to:

Set up, aid in design and execution, and follow-on activities in strategic planning workshops

Support the D5K/NSP strategic plan implementation and assurance of process including data calls, data management, and data synthesis

Develop briefings and communications materials for leadership engagements

Conduct research, gathering and analyzing information, resulting in reports and recommendations for the team

Support the planning and execution of portfolio and division-wide activities and events

Support portfolio and division-level projects and processes that require roll up and integration of information from multiple programs and centers, including Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD).

Support the Division and Portfolio Management Office staff in ad hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Salary Range:

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Require:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

Earned bachelor's degree

Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited graduate program

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Qualifications We Desire:

Active U.S. DOE Q-clearance

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated interest and knowledge of strategic planning and/or strategy development and deployment

Experience with data documentation, synthesis, and visualization

Experience conducting research and analysis

Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Familiarity with Sandia's business and organizational management processes and rhythms

Understanding of the missions of Sandia's National Security Programs and Division 5000

Demonstrated ability to think critically and independently and manage multiple high-priority projects at one time

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interface across organizations, with management and staff at all levels

Demonstrated record of working effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a tightly knit, self-directed team

Demonstrated learning orientation and curiosity to broaden knowledge and expertise

The National Security Program (NSP) Portfolio Management Office is responsible for providing strategic management, leadership, and management assurance to the NSP Portfolio and administers the NSP LDRD Mission Foundation. The team also provides support and leadership to Sandia's Artificial Intelligence Board of Directors (AI BOD). The NSP portfolio provides trusted, threat-informed pathfinder technologies for national security through the delivery of advanced defense, deterrence and intelligence technology, and analysis to strengthen our nation's defenders.

Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
