The Applied Data Scientist role focuses on developing tools for grid management and advising clients on the latest technologies, becoming a crucial part of the team dedicated to future-proofing energy infrastructure.In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
Developing tools to enhance grid modeling and simulation methodologies for better planning.Optimizing dispatch for demand response programs including Smart Thermostats, BTM Batteries, and EV Managed Charging.Creating digital twins for various properties across North America.Modeling transportation electrification infrastructure.Understanding and working on core logic for various energy analytics products.Supporting business development and serving as a subject matter expert.Writing robust models in Python to solve client challenges.Collaborating with data engineering and visualization teams for client deliverables.Engaging with partners to clean and interpret energy industry data.Addressing challenges like building scalable Non-Wires Alternatives.Informing grid modernization design through data analysis.Translating processes into scalable software tools in collaboration with industry leaders.Analyzing market trends and technologies as needed for projects.This role comes with the following benefits:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field like data science or engineering.3+ years of experience in data science or energy analysis.Proficiency in Python and open-source data science languages.Experience with statistical data analysis and geospatial modeling.Familiarity with AMI (smart meter) data.You would benefit from having:
