Department:11733 Support Operations Division - Security: Corp Command Branch Status:Full time Benefits Eligible:Yes Hours Per Week:40 Schedule Details/Additional Information:Full TimeMajor Responsibilities:Development and management of the Security Technology operating and capital budgets.Lead in the development and alignment of strategy, standards, practices, and priorities of enterprise Security Technology.Ensure effective implementation of enterprise Security Technology services, strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives.Develop Security Technology policies with input from Public Safety leadership and appropriate stakeholders.Drive proactive analysis on emerging Security Technology platforms.Drive the development, analysis and reporting of Security Technology qualitative and quantitative KPI’s.Develop relationships with various stakeholders both in and outside Advocate Health as related to Security Technology.Assists and advises user agencies and Corporate Public Safety/Security personnel on policies and procedures related to the adoption and development of Security Technology Systems in a complex multi-entity environment.Ensures security technology programs and platforms are consistently applied across the enterprise, aligned with Public Safety/Security best practices, and supports organizational strategies.Provides leadership for teams situated across multiple states, actively participates in interdepartmental collaborative situations that have Security Technology involvement and implications.Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, teammate mentorship/development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.Lead in the development, alignment, training and management of Public Safety/Security Operations Centers across multiple facilities and states. Develop operation center policies with input from Public Safety leadership and appropriate stakeholders.Drive the development, analysis and reporting of Public Safety/Security Operations Centers qualitative and quantitative KPI’s.Lead contract negotiations and development around Security Technology and Operation Centers as applicable.Designs and directs the work of the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:NoneEducation Required:Bachelor’s degreeExperience Required:5 Years experience in leadership level positionKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Healthcare Regulations and Standards:Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant federal and state laws.Familiarity with standards such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and HITRUST.Information Security Management:Knowledge of information security management frameworks and best practices.Understanding of risk management principles, incident response , and disaster recovery planning.Healthcare Information Systems:In-depth knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems (PMS), and other healthcare IT systems.Awareness of the unique security challenges posed by healthcare information systems.Cybersecurity Threat Landscape:Up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, especially those targeting the healthcare sector.Familiarity with malware, ransomware, phishing, and other common cyber threats.Network and System Security:Understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.Knowledge of system security measures, including endpoint protection, patch management, and access control.Data Privacy and Protection:Knowledge of data encryption, anonymization, and de-identification techniques.Understanding of patient data privacy requirements and best practices for data protection.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Must be mobile throughout the entire hospital system properties in and out of patient care areas. Faces potential exposure to combative patients, fire and other hazardous situations.
