International Spa Association (ISPA) , is seeking a Director of Content Strategy to join their dynamic team. The Director of Content Strategy is responsible for overseeing ISPA’s efforts to provide members with year-round educational offerings through the creation of content and educational sessions (both virtual and in-person). This role involves the development, management, and execution of a comprehensive content strategy that includes creating and curating educational resources, articles, reports, and other materials. Additionally, the Director of Content Strategy will collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to ensure the quality and relevance of ISPA's educational offerings, contributing to the growth and success of the spa industry.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESContent and Marketing Strategy:Develop and implement an annual content and content marketing strategy for ISPA and segment the strategy into various audiences (i.e. member, nonmember, advertisers, media, etc.) to ensure the user experience and engagement for each audience is taken into account.Collaborate with the ISPA marketing team members to ensure the content marketing strategy is effectively fulfilled and tracked, including the evaluation of key metrics to ensure content is meeting the needs of the respective audience(s) and the adjustment of the strategic marketing plan as necessary based on metrics and outcomes.Educational Resource Development and Management:Create and deliver high-quality content for educational resources to be delivered in a variety of formats.Identify content areas of need based on current industry trends and insights shared by the ISPA member community.Serve as the lead educational resources content manager, ensuring content is regularly added and outdated content is removed.Research and recommend new educational resources which would be of value to ISPA members.Manage new content generation by reaching out to ISPA members, past and current speakers, and subject matter experts to invite them to contribute as content sources.Oversee volunteer committees tasks involving educational resources.Manage the creation and updating of ISPA Toolkits offered to ISPA members; evaluate trends and member needs to determine when toolkit is necessary to deliver a set of curated resources to the ISPA member community.Create content for and gather existing resources to create toolkits to help solve an existing member need or educational gaps.Coordinate the rollout and virtual layout of the toolkit with the ISPA marketing team to ensure the resources are delivered in an intuitive and easy-to-access manner.Research and Learning Initiatives:Develop content and identify third party content for the ISPA Learning Management System.Assist with identifying topics for ISPA Town Halls and Snapshot Surveys.Manage research-related projects and timelines including both industry and consumer research.Research and recommend new educational initiatives for consideration by staff leadership and the ISPA Board of Directors.Advocacy and Cross-Organizational Collaboration:Monitor legislative and advocacy issues impacting the spa industry and develop resources to educate and update the ISPA member community as necessary to ensure they are up to date on issues that may impact their businesses.Serve as liaison between ISPA and other educational organizations.Additional Responsibilities:Assist with annual membership renewal campaign as requested.Help identify resources and contributors for Pulse magazine as requested.Serve as a Pulse contributor as requested.Perform duties as requested at the annual ISPA Conference (travel is required for this event).Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSExperience developing content for professional organizations.Experience developing and managing marketing strategies.Experience developing educational content for upper-level executives.Project management experience involving multiple team members and deadlines.Experience utilizing research/data for educational content development.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience managing educational session content strategies.Experience interviewing executive-level sources for content development projects.WHY JOIN ASSOCIATIONS INTERNATIONAL?We hire diverse and talented people who drive the success of our partner associations by bringing their talents, passions, and expertise to the team.
