Job Overview :As the Admissions Director, you will lead the admissions process, working closely with hospital case managers, discharge planners, and families to ensure the smooth and timely placement of residents. This role is essential to achieving and maintaining census goals, building relationships with referral sources, and ensuring a positive admissions experience for residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the full admissions process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Collaborate with hospital liaisons and referral sources to coordinate admissions, ensuring quick and accurate bed placements.
Communicate with families, residents, and healthcare providers to ensure a seamless transition into the facility.
Review and verify all admission documentation, including insurance verification, financial information, and medical records.
Partner with the clinical team to assess resident needs and develop care plans.
Maintain detailed records of referrals, admissions, and discharges.
Drive census growth by nurturing relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
Provide tours of the facility to prospective residents and families, highlighting our services and care.
Promote the facility’s specialty programs and services to hospital teams, families, and community partners.
Participate in marketing efforts to enhance facility visibility and increase admissions.
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in an admissions role within a skilled nursing facility (required).
In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with hospitals and healthcare providers.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to healthcare admissions.
Proficiency in computer systems and software related to admissions management (e.g., EHR, referral tracking systems).
