@westhealth .Position SummaryThe Associate Research Manager will support multiple key research collaborations with non-profit and commercial partners, including health systems, government regulators, provider groups, value-based care organizations, professional societies, academic centers, and community-based organizations, to develop, test, implement, and evaluate the impact of innovative models on healthcare utilization and cost outcomes.The Associate Research Manager will provide support for in-person and written correspondence (manuscripts, technical reports, white papers, guides, etc.) as well as proposal development, data analytics, contract management, and project and program support in the development of relevant research documentation and publications.The Associate Research Manager must work seamlessly across strategic, substantive, and administrative aspects of the role. Key requirements of the position include having excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, tolerance for ambiguity, and exceptionally strong project and time management skills. Additionally, the Associate Research Manager must be results-oriented, with the ability to solve practical problems. The Associate Research Manager must also be passionate about the Institute’s Successful Aging strategy.Essential Duties and FunctionsMaintain situational awareness of research studies, changes in public policy, and regulations related to value-based healthcare delivery.Assist in developing clear and compelling strategies that advance value-based care at both the policy and provider levels.Manage specific projects with specified deliverables as guided by management.Participate in the development and convening of Learning Communities or other care transformation endeavors to accelerate process and quality improvement efforts to achieve the West Health mission and priorities.Provide project support, leadership, and direction on various research and quality improvement initiatives.Ensure timely and accurate project execution by making any organizational complexities transparent.Track, manage, and facilitate resolution of project issues or risks.Continually review processes to ensure consistency of progress and efficient information flow.Present work to internal teams and leadership in a concise and compelling manner.Develop and deliver progress reports and proposals to cross-organizational teams or Institute leadership, as well as identify other appropriate opportunities for the dissemination of project results.Maintain the highest standards of professional integrity and confidentiality.Work collaboratively or independently on other initiatives or special projects as assigned.Administrative & Compliance SupportAssist compliance with updating active research projects tracking for items such as but not limited to contracts, IRBs, forms, deliverables, and adding new projects.Responsible for ensuring all project databases are always up to date; and tracking approvals for external or public-facing content.Follow up with personnel on completion of compliance documentation such as audits and trainings.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare and/or research experience.Proven track record of building productive working relationships with colleagues, collaborators, consultants, stakeholders, and others who contribute to program/project development and management, as well as inspiring others to work towards shared goals.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others, internally and externally, without direct authority or formalized structure.Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and managing large amounts of information relevant to the work, while concurrently managing shifting external and internal expectations.Highly self-motivated individual with high energy, positive and professional approach, a “can-do” attitude, and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.Effective time management skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Experience working within a healthcare, research, and/or nonprofit environment a plus.Experience with legal contracting a plus.Computer literacy required, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook and project management software.Commitment to West Health’s values and mission.Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000We gladly offer:Up to 10% Annual Performance Bonus
