Job Summary:

The Department of Integrative Physiology at CU-Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are looking for expertise in integrative physiology, defined as the study of biological function from genes to populations and how it affects health and disease. The department will consider applications from individuals with a broad range of research interests committed to rigorous and interdisciplinary science.

Tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. Start Date - August 2025

What We Require:

(1) expertise in physiology or a related field (e.g., biology, genetics, neuroscience, psychology), (2) a PhD; (3) postdoctoral training; and (4) previous research published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals.

What We Would Like You to Have:

(1) prior experience obtaining extramural grant support; (2) teaching experience (may have been obtained prior to receipt of doctorate); and (3) conducting research that is both interdisciplinary and focuses on the physiology of health and/or disease.

Key Responsibilities:

Applicants will be expected to: (1) establish a program of research that is supported by awards from extramural agencies; (2) contribute to the teaching mission of the undergraduate and graduate programs; (3) teach one Integrative Physiology undergraduate core course plus one additional course per year; (4) provide teaching and mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows; (5) perform service for the department, university, and profession; and (6) contribute to an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.

Compensation:

$95,000-$115,000 (9-month salary). Candidates may expect starting salaries within the posted range depending upon accomplishments–including publication record and external funding–and years of experience in comparable faculty position; negotiable start-up package; moving expenses $6,000-$8,000; one-time recruitment incentive of $50,000.
