Candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in drawing and painting, with emphasis on contemporary studio practices. We are seeking candidates who will actively contribute to the Department and University through administrative services and in creating a community of students, faculty, and staff richly diverse in cultural background.ResponsibilitiesCSUF faculty are committed teachers/scholars who bring research and creative discovery to life for students in classrooms, labs, studios, and individually mentored projects. They teach broadly in the curricula of their departments, advise students, and serve on departmental and university-wide committees. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will include the teaching of introductory and core courses in the discipline and the development of courses in their area(s) of specialization. This candidate could teach conceptually based painting practice, beginning to advanced figure painting, undergraduate critique courses and graduate level seminars. This person will be responsible for a sustained contemporary practice and active scholarly work commensurate with the requirements for tenure.
