The Division of Neonatology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Neonatal-Perinatal Physician at the Assistant Professor rank on an academic or master clinician track (track to be determined by qualification and interest). The Division is dedicated to providing innovative care, conducting research, and instructing skills to recognize and treat medical problems of the neonate.About the Appointment:The position will serve the Level IV NICU located in the Masonic Children's Hospital (UMMCH), three Level III NICUs located at MHealth Fairview Southdale, Ridges, and St. John's Hospitals, and a Level II NICU located at MHealth Fairview Woodwinds Hospital. The potential also exists for serving the NICUs at Children's Minnesota through a contract.
The NICU at UMMCH is a comprehensive NICU that serves the five-state region and provides care for all acuity levels. Services include ECMO, peritoneal and hemo-dialysis, general and cardiovascular surgery, and therapeutic hypothermia.

About the Division:The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is nationally ranked as one of the best Children's Hospitals with special recognition in five sub-specialties, including Neonatology (source: 2018 US News and World Report). The Division is a national leader in providing innovative care, conducting research, and instructing skills to recognize and treat medical problems of the neonate. The Division serves as a resource for other NICUs for infants with multi-organ system failure, complex diagnostic and surgical problems, and long-term, technology-dependent conditions.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and a Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship training program.
Board eligible/certified in Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine.
Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
Ability to work in the United States.
We seek a candidate with proven clinical experience in newborn intensive care and research or instruction/education, with interests in the fields of neonatal nutrition, neurodevelopment, hematology, pulmonology/resuscitation, global neonatology, ethics, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, point-of-care ultrasound, educational and outreach program development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
