JOB SUMMARY:Bon Secours Medical Group is seeking a psychiatrist who will be responsible for direct patient care in behavioral health and chemical dependency units at Bon Secours Community Hospital in accordance with CMS, Joint Commission, OASAS, and OMH standards and guidelines. Candidate will also provide consultation liaison to medical floors, nursing homes, and emergency department, and perform telepsychiatry services with St. Anthony Community Hospital.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides primary patient care on inpatient mental health unit and chemical dependency unitAttends court proceedings as needed for legal proceedings associated with patient careServes as consultant and liaison with medical floors, emergency department, and nursing homesProvides tele-psychiatric services with St. Anthony Community HospitalProvides on call services one night a week and one weekend a monthCompletes peer reviews with insurance carriers to determine medical necessity and prior authorizations for medications/careOversees compliance with electronic records and accurate billing for each encounterWorks with administrator regarding policy and procedure, utilization, and productivityMeets Psychiatric Core Measures accurately and timelyCompletes psychiatric evaluations and discharge summaries within 24 hoursPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:Experience:

Completion of psychiatric residency; inpatient treatment preferredEducation:
