Strategic Planner

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planner to join their Global Marketplace Strategy Team, with a focus on the Direct Leadership team. This role will emphasize strategic initiatives related to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business across Digital, Stores, and Membership channels. The ideal candidate is motivated by complex, high-impact workstreams and capable of partnering with senior executives to develop, communicate, and execute strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
General Analysis
- Conduct environmental scans and perform organizational positioning analyses.
- Develop strategic plans to support continued growth and profitability in the DTC space.
- Identify market trends and competitive insights to inform strategic direction.
Strategic Business Planning
- Lead the strategic planning process, ensuring all key deliverables, timelines, and priorities are met.
- Collaborate with global teams to set, analyze, and prioritize strategies.
- Monitor internal and external factors that could necessitate a shift in strategy.
Measurement & Accountability
- Lead the development of strategic initiatives and objectives for the current year and a three-year Strategic Plan at the Regional Level.
- Collaborate with various business units and functions to ensure alignment and integration of objectives.
- Establish relevant performance measures and drive accountability, supporting and facilitating the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, with a background in retail, e-commerce, or DTC business strategy highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct environmental scans, competitive analysis, and organizational studies.
- Exceptional project management abilities, capable of handling multiple complex workstreams and collaborating with senior executives.
- Strong communication skills, with a knack for translating strategy into actionable plans.
- Experience in performance measurement and accountability, including strategic KPI development and reporting.
Additional Qualities:
- Highly motivated by complex strategic challenges.
- Adaptability to take on Chief of Staff responsibilities for Direct leaders, if needed.
- Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and foster collaboration to achieve shared goals.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $64 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
