As DealerOn's Desktop Engineer you will be part of an IT team that provides internal end-user support and basic account administration. The successful Desktop Engineer will be creative and a strong problem-solver, joining a team of capable IT Desktop Engineers dedicated to supporting the company’s computing resources and infrastructure.This is a hybrid position that will require working onsite in our Headquarters office in Derwood, MD. It will be fully onsite for the first 2-3 months during training. Once up to speed, it will be 1-2 days per week in the office. Local candidates only.Essential Functions:Provide support and troubleshooting services to a fleet of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other related peripheralsAnswer and resolve support cases in a timely manner and with emphasis on strong customer serviceInstall and configure software and applications for workstation distributionAssist in the provisioning of user accounts, email, group membership, drive mappings and peripheralsWork closely with systems, networking and security team and management to identify issues, research solutions, and escalate issues to the appropriate resourceGuide users in conforming to established systems security practicesAssist in the documentation, periodic review, and maintenance of departmental Standard Operating ProceduresVet and test new technology for business operations and/or initiativesMonitor and report security issues to management and various teams per the Incident Response procedureContribute to remediation planning, testing and execution as directedPlan and participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing and actual recovery efforts in the event of a declared disasterPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentExperience supporting Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 11)Proficient in supporting desktop, laptop and mobile hardware IT supportWindows Server Support Basics and basic understanding of Active DirectoryNetworking knowledge, including DNS and DHCPExcellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlinesProficient with Office software suitePreferred Skills/Experience:5 years’ experience in field or careerExperience in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demandsDependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problemsThe salary range for this position is $56,500 - $106,800.This position is available in various US locations; however, it is
