Sr. Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer
to support a government customer. The Senior Cloud Cyber Security Engineer specializes in securing cloud environments, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings.Duties to include:Provide technical engineering services in support of integrated cloud systems and solutions, configuring and validating cloud systems.Test cloud products and systems to detect security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.Design and enforce security protocols for cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with customer standards and policies.Monitor cloud-based resources, perform security checks, and respond to security events across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across cloud platforms, in line with FISMA, NIST 800-53, and other federal compliance requirements.Implement DevSecOps practices for continuous security monitoring, deploying tools like Azure Sentinel or AWS GuardDuty for automated threat detection.Conduct security architecture reviews for new and existing cloud applications, ensuring they meet robust security standards.Work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.RequirementsClearance Required : Top SecretEducation :Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), CEH, CySA+) are advantageous.Experience :Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in providing technical engineering services for integrated cloud systems and solutions.Minimum of ten (10) years of overall cybersecurity experience.
