Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a well-qualified Windows and Virtualization Systems Analyst to join our dynamic Classified Solutions team of technical professionals in Linthicum, MD and Annapolis Junction, MD. Please note that due to the classified nature of this program, the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Linthicum, MD and Annapolis Junction, MD campuses, and that this is not a remote position. Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Perform administration of Virtualization and Storage platforms across the site, among other technologies.
Lead and become a valuable member of the team supporting various technologies.
Manage and support various components of the technical infrastructure, including Hypervisors, storage, infrastructure solutions, system updates, patching, and administration of various IT systems.
Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues.
Provide support to end users and other staff in resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis.
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networks as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format.
Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree and 11 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
Experience architecting virtualization and storage solutions.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Windows Domains.
Experience with VMWare and VDI implementation, migration, and maintenance.
Experience with NetApp and/or Nutanix implementation, migration, and maintenance.
Experience with system design and architecture.
Clearance and Access Requirements:
Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance, to include SCI access and a recent Polygraph (adjudicated within the last 5 years), or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain access to Special Programs before a start date can be established; maintaining a SAP/SAR clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph reexamination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and also as a condition of continued employment.
Non-Technical Abilities and Certification Requirements:
Current IAT Level II certification (ie. Security+, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification) or greater; certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Experience leading a technical team of IT professionals.
Experience mentoring junior level IT professionals.
Experience with developing and administering IT Training programs.
Experience giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical attendees including executive leadership.
Experience providing surge support to other programs as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in IS related field.
Knowledge of VMware products including vCenter and vSphere/ESXi, among others.
Experience maintaining a containerized environment.
Experience operating under and managing systems within DCSA, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
VMWare experience/certification; experience with vCenter, ESXi environments v6.5+.
VDI deployment and tuning experience.
Windows domain architecture experience, to include AD, LDAP, RADIUS, and certificate authorities.
Knowledge of SAN storage systems (NetApp OnTap, E-Series, and other vendor solutions).
Active vendor-based IT certifications.
Salary Range:
$115,400 - $196,430
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
