About the Job
As a Staff Engineer, you will be working and collaborating with other RH2 team members in the planning, designing and construction of water and wastewater facility projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Learning to use professional conceptsCollects data and gathers information or documentsPerforms basic computations or analysesObserves project activitiesPrepares base maps from survey drawingsPerforms basic field observations with supervision from Project Engineer/Project ManagerUpdates engineering reports, drawings, figures, and other visual aids based on reviews provided by Project Engineer/Project ManagerGains on-the-job training and experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS, MathCAD, Finite Element Analysis, hydraulic modeling programs, Rocscience, and/or Civiltech AllPile and Shoring SuiteApplies company policies and proceduresWorks collaboratively both in-person and remotely with teams in multiple offices

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited universityInternship experience in similar environment is highly preferredStrong desire to work in public sector consulting with focus on water, wastewater, transportation, irrigation, and stormwater planning and design projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to respond and adapt to changing project needs and schedulesAbility to work on multiple projects and with multiple Project Managers at the same timeThis position has no ongoing employee supervisory responsibilities.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Ability to obtain Engineer-In-Training certification within 1 year required; completed Engineer‑In‑Training certification highly preferredAbility to obtain P.E. license with 4 to 5 years of experience
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred at an intermediate skill levelAutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, MathCAD, Finite Element Analysis, hydraulic modeling, Rocscience, and/or Civiltech AllPile and Shoring Suite software experience is a plus but not requiredPDF editing software experience is a plus but not required
Compensation
Individual compensation will vary within the following range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position
$34.00-$44.00 . RH2 values our employees’ work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week.
