Reports To:
General ManagerGeneral Purpose:Responsible for maximizing property revenues while maintaining excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.Efforts will include but not be limited to, hiring, training and management of sales team, analysis and reporting of sales metrics, collaborating with the Marketing Manager to ensure advertising, outreach and public relations efforts for all market segments are achieved in addition to direct sales activities.Specific Responsibilities:Directly responsible for the achievement of hotel revenues including Rooms and Banquet/Catering Departments.Maintain an ongoing awareness of future room night bookings, including group and catering pace and develop/execute a hands-on game plan to increase topline opportunities.Develop and execute corporate negotiated transient account strategies including building and maintaining strong relationships and ensuring production of signed accounts.With assistance from the GM and Marketing Manager, responsible for the development and execution of integrated sales and marketing plans that support revenue objectives through direct sales, advertising, digital marketing, social media, property level publicity and promotional events.Analyze hotels' demand segments, sources of business, and primary competition for each, and guide property team in managing pricing and inventory to maximize revenues and profits.Continually analyze market trends and direct team accordingly to obtain objectives.Directly responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key accounts.Ensure the timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports such as Pace and Productivity Reports, Sales Strategy/Action Plan Reports, Initiative Tracking Reports, Monthly Executive Summary, etc.Produce annual Budget and monthly Forecast in conjunction with the Area Revenue Director, General Manager and property Controller.Oversee the development of an annual Strategic Sales & Marketing Plan with the Marketing Manager.Responsible for ensuring hotels' sales and marketing expenses are in accordance with annual business plan and hotel profitability.Maintain effective involvement with key community organizations and aggressively pursue all appropriate opportunities for outside client solicitation and relationship building.Idealize a positive, involved, and collaborative team approach within the sales team and with all hotel departments and maintain open communication with all teammates.Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the property General Manager and/or the corporate leadership team.Qualifications
Strong sales skills with thorough knowledge of sales techniques, ability to up-sell products and services, and proven closing ability along with the ability to mentor sales teams in these areas.Experience in providing effective team leadership and creating a positive, collaborative, productive work environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with public relations professionals and journalists.Computer competency required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Database Management.Knowledge of Food and Beverage including Banquets & Catering.Knowledge of hospitality marketing and experience in developing & executing marketing strategies.Aggressive, self-motivated work habits and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Must be available to work some nights and/or weekends.Other:Bachelor's Degree and hotel sales and management experience preferred.Some travel required.Additional Information
