The professionally trained staff provides compassionate, quality Hospice health care to adults, children and infants facing the advancing stages of any life-threatening illness such as cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS, end-stage heart and lung disease, and severe birth defects. Care is delivered to patients throughout greater north central Texas primarily in their homes and also in non-acute care facilities. The company is continuously growing and seeking a nursing leader to join the administrative team to lead the regulatory and compliance standards/initiatives.Job Description
The Compliance Officer leads and directs the entire organization’s regulatory and compliance programs.
Serves as the privacy and security official.
Develops, revises and monitors policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.
Leads the organization in compliance with CHAPS, Medicare and Medicaid regulatory standards in the survey preparation process as well as State and Federal regulatory standards.
Performs on site visits to audit adherence to Conditions of Participation.
Serves as a member of the Leadership Team reporting to the CEO.
Collaborates with the executive team, clinical directors and managers, nurses, and physicians to develop and implement standardized policies and procedures for regulatory compliance, evidence-based care, and standards of practice.
Facilitates education and training for leadership and staff regarding regulatory issues, new statutes, and guidelines related to quality and performance improvement.
Directs Quality Assurance Program, OSHA and Infection Control Programs.Qualifications
Registered Nurse with Texas Licensure.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree is highly preferred
A minimum 5 years clinical experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Compliance role.
Experience leading a Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement and Compliance Program required.
Supervisory experience in healthcare required.
Extremely strong interpersonal skills, an effective change agent through performance improvement processes, a collaborative leader.
Healthcare experience in any of the following areas; Hospice, Home Health, Extended Care, Long Term Care, Critical Access, Acute Care Hospital, or Urgent Care.
