As a Trademark Paralegal with T-Rex Law, P.C., you will provide essential support to our firm by running the docket and coordinating with our Partners on their daily deadlines. You will be responsible for keeping our attorneys focused on their pressing deadlines, and you will need to be aware of upcoming deadlines and provide support where needed. You may be asked to assist by corresponding with clients, preparing Extensions of Time and calendaring Court Orders and deadlines, conducting research, writing legal documents, preparing reports, and assisting with case management. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our firm.
Our ideal candidate is someone that is extremely detail oriented with the ability to juggle thousands of trademarks and several hundred disputes, has strong communication skills, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated to make a difference for our clients.
The candidate must also have 10-15 years of experience with federal court filings in the Southern District of California and Central District of California, and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board experience.
Patent prosecution experience is a bonus, but not required.
Position is 100% remote. Must be located in Southern California.

Manage client deadlines and run the firm docket, making sure attorneys meet all deadlines. Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files, including maintaining document databases and electronic records. Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances. Conduct in-depth legal research using various online and offline resources to support attorneys in case preparation and analysis. Prepare summaries, drafts, contracts, and other legal documents according to established guidelines. Review legal documents to ensure accuracy. Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal personnel. Take part in meetings to discuss case developments. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and case information. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, a related field, or equivalent certification from an accredited paralegal program. 10-15 years of previous experience with federal court filings in the Southern District of California and Central District of California, and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board experience Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload Strong interpersonal communication with both clients and our team Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules (e.g. Local Rules), and procedures; Ability to conduct legal research efficiently; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong understanding of legal research methods and resources. Proficiency in using legal research databases and software (Clio, etc.) Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary: $72,000 No billable hours requirement. Our 100% flat fee model allows us to do away with billable time for paralegals and attorneys. Paralegal time is included in those flat fees. Fully Remote 90% Paid Healthcare for Employee (Medical, Dental, Vision) Unlimited Paid Time Off, with the understanding that the paralegal and the handling attorney are jointly responsible for timely handling all deadlines Paid Holidays (Washington, D.C.
