About the teamTikTok LIVE team's mission is to work hand-in-hand with creators & influencers, agencies, and partnership organizations to create an environment that brings communities together in real time to create meaningful and interactive connections around the globe.
Responsibilities
Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of multimedia designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across various design skill sets.Conduct user research to understand users' preferences, behaviors, and pain points. Develop and implement tools (mostly gift animations) to help live streamers create better experiences and delight their audiences.Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of LIVE business.Generate content-focused insights that both fuel ideation and product strategy.Lead a partnership with product managers, operations, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch.Set design standards, conduct regular reviews, and implement quality control processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.Set clear expectations and goals for direct reports and collective teams while holding individuals and teams accountable for success.Provide clear, actionable feedback and support to develop and grow individuals.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in management, 5+ years of experience with digital content strategy, visual media, production, and relevant fields.Experience as a LIVE streamer or spending money on LIVE, with a strong interest in the LIVE business.Proven experience in developing and implementing monetization strategies, understanding basic business models, and how design can contribute.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Familiar with production tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite/Figma/Cinema 4D/Blender, etc.Preferred QualificationsExperience in NFT, metaverse, virtual goods, gaming industry, film/commercial production, or any end-to-end design.Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to connect with people through media.Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with those from diverse cultural backgrounds.Understanding of AI and new technologies' benefits for production.Experience with user research methodologies, data analysis, and interpreting data and user feedback to provide actionable insights.Understanding how virtual goods, digital products, or the gaming industry works.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to solve problems through organizational strategies.Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team culture.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Job InformationThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126000 - $207000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Our time off and leave plans are:
10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.
We also provide generous benefits like mental and emotional health benefits through our EAP and Lyra. A 401K company match, gym and cellphone service reimbursements. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
