Job DescriptionAbout the TeamThe Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions.About the LocationHybrid Position:
This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.About the JobSUMMARYBe a key contributor in helping define future-state digital products and experiences that help pet parents care for their loved ones. We are looking for a talented and data-driven UX designer to join our growing UX design team. The ideal designer will have a passion for designing efficient and easy interfaces and experiences that not only empower but delight our pet parents. If you enjoy delivering products and experiences that are both functional and useful, while also story-driven, you will be a good fit for this role.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to:Using business requirements, research insights, customer behaviors, and technical feedback to develop scenarios, use cases and customer journeysWorking through the iterative design process while applying empathy design tactics and practices to all workDirecting and collaborating with IT partners to see designs from prototype to implementationRapid prototyping of interfaces and experiences to define feature definitionsKEY COMPETENCIESExpert knowledge of designing thinking principles & common UX practicesDemonstrate proficiency within Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design toolsAbility to prototype in Figma and other prototyping toolsUnderstanding of iOS Human Interface, Material UI design, and Atomic design guidelines and principlesStrong ability to communicate designs and ideas to product managers and IT partnersStrong collaboration & communication skillsAbility to multi-task and contribute to think-out loud design sessionsCapable of understanding and leveraging user testing findings & user data to lead design recommendations/improvementsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEDegree in human interaction, interaction design, visual design, or 2 years UX design experience1 year designing web applications for both web and mobile appExperience in creating and supporting design systems*** Please include/attach portfolio to application ***About the CultureAt PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
