Job Title: Plant SupervisorLocation: Columbus, OhioSalary: $180-210K plus bonus Job Summary of the Plant Supervisor: The Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the plant, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This position plays a vital role in promoting Safety as a Core Value and maintaining consistent adherence to Food Safety & Quality policies and activities. Qualifications of the Plant Supervisor:· At least 10 years of experience and/or training in a Plant or Operations Management role.· Industry background in aseptic filling, dairy manufacturing or Tetra Pak Machinery, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.· Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Food Science, Engineering, or Management.· Preferred 3+ years of experience in Aseptic processing.· Highly preferred experience in Dairy or beverage manufacturing and Tetra Pak machinery.· Prior experience overseeing multiple plant locations.· Experience with plant start-up or acquisition is a plus.· Demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness, operations management, and achieving results against KPIs.· Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills required.· Ability to analyze downtime and financial variance trends, and take appropriate actions for improvement.· Familiarity with budgets, forecasting, and metrics.· Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills, as well as coaching and training abilities.· Effective presentation skills to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.· Excellent time management, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer skills. Responsibilities of the Plant Supervisor:Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination for plant operations, including multiple sites.Ensure compliance with plant and corporate procedures, as well as customer and regulatory regulations.Develop and coach plant staff to achieve safety, quality, customer service, and productivity goals.Promote a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, taking personal responsibility for safety standards.Adhere to safety policies and procedures, as well as quality work practices and GMPs.Ensure food safety and quality, identifying and addressing any issues that may pose a risk to products or personnel.Supervise and oversee capital projects to ensure design and progress are on track.Develop and implement financial and non-financial objectives, including the annual budget for the plant's operations.Identify and implement strategies to improve performance and achieve plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Monitor operations, set standards, and address bottlenecks to optimize efficiency.Increase production asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs.
