You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeProvide systems engineering leadership through a products full development lifecycle, from early-stage research to implementation.Work with marketing strategy to keep track of current business roadmaps and industry trends, and their applicability to product development activities.Understand and translate stakeholder needs to requirements and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and business constraints.Contribute to early-stage rapid concept development, prototype, and test iterations with cross-functional teams.Hands-on work with the system to evaluate user-facing system behavior.Investigate system integration issues to identify root cause and propose resolution.Analyze use cases, document product lifecycle, and define use conditions.Employ system engineering best practices, such as Model Based Systems Engineering, to document and communicate system design.Oversee the regulated development processes and standards for risk management, usability, and safety to ensure system design and documentation meet relevant safety and regulatory standards globally.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed concept studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software solutions.Performs technical planning for cross-functionally impacting activities like integration, verification and validations, and project roadmaps.Work with cross-functional teams to ideate, develop and test subsystem concepts, and develop subsystem architectures.Understand, evaluate, and communicate system performance, desired behavior, and usability in the context of clinical use.Work with engineers to develop an understanding of the technological underpinnings of system architecture and detailed design.Provide leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.Track and communicate status of deliverables.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Provide systems engineering leadership through a products full development lifecycle, from early stage research to implementation and product release.Work with marketing strategy to keep track of current business roadmaps and industry trends, and their applicability to product development activities. PR) locations (USD):$128,000.00 - $192,000.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
