Classroom Monitors create and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and provide positive educational experiences for all students. The Classroom Monitor does not necessarily replace an absent teacher. Examples include Virtual Lab monitor, assignment to Internal Suspension, or positions funded by IDEA for additional personnel in ASD cluster programs.Pay Rate:

Prior to submitting your application, you will be required to attach the documents listed below. Therefore, you will need to have the documents scanned and available for upload:Transcript from an accredited college showing at least 60 semester hours of completed coursework.Required letters of reference, minimum of two. References must be signed and dated, with one reference from the candidate’s last employer or cooperating teacher (for education graduates). Each reference should be scanned separately and uploaded individually.Substitute Teacher Training On-Boarding Course – Optional.Upload Sub Diploma certificate for the STEDI Subskills Online Training Course.The STEDI SubSkills Online Training Course provides valuable knowledge, skills, and materials to empower you in the classroom. There is a cost associated with this training of
$39.95 , which will be the responsibility of the applicant. This cost will not be reimbursed by Broward County Public Schools.This training covers classroom management, teaching strategies, special education, and other essential information to become a stellar substitute teacher, from legal aspects of the job to handling confrontational behavior from students.Please Note:
