The Cyber Security Engineer oversees the implementation of DoDD 8530.1, DoDD 8500.2, DoDI 8510.1, DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework, and other applicable NIST and CNSS IA directives, instructions, and guidelines.What you will do:
Oversee the implementation of DoDD 8530.1, DoDD 8500.2, DoDI 8510.1, DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework, and other applicable NIST and CNSS IA directives, instructions, and guidelines.Design, develop, and implement solutions that meet network and system security requirements and perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems, networks, and applications.Lead and manage the implementation of required network security to safeguard all computer systems, networks, and data in accordance with current policies and regulations.Assess the security risks of IT systems, networks, and software applications, documenting them in formal security and risk assessments.Provide Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodial Experience in testing to validate established security requirements and preparing System Security Plans.Qualifications
HS 16+ years of experience, Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, computer science, or system engineering and 12+ years of experience, 10+ years with MS/MA, or 7+ years with Ph.D.Required:
Strong understanding of data center operations and applications used to store, retrieve, and secure MDA sensitive data.Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.Ability to work from the customer facility on a regular basis unless customer approved to work outside the local area.Minimum of 7+ years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.Other Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise IT solutions, cloud migration, DevSecOps, agile software development and application design, integration, testing, and deployment is a plus.Security Requirements:
Ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred.Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
