In the role of
Senior Trade Compliance Analyst
working in
Milwaukee, WI,
you will be part of the Legal and Government Affairs team. You will support the trade compliance function in developing and maintaining Molson Coors’ import and export requirements and controls. This position ensures compliance with import and export regulations with regards to classification, valuation, quantity, origin declaration, Free Trade Agreement eligibility, ongoing process maintenance, training and other areas as identified by the business.
This position reports to the Trade Compliance Manager and will work cross-functionally with internal departments including supply chain, procurement, engineering, logistics and quality to ensure that all trade compliance requirements are met. This role will work externally with customs brokers / freight forwarders, and corporate import/export teams to ensure alignment with global trade initiatives and government agencies as required.
The Responsibilities:
Drive business-wide trade compliance process improvements to optimize the supply chain.
Serve as the point of contact for answering questions and resolving day-to-day trade compliance issues.
Assist in developing and implementing an import/export standard operating procedure and compliance manual.
Prepare compliance training documents and participate in training cross-functional groups.
Ensure compliance with country-specific import/export regulations, inclusive of denied party screenings, export declarations, classifications, export administration regulations, compliance, licensing requirements, adherence to special trade agreements (i.e. NAFTA, CAFTA) and duty drawback programs.
Identify, investigate, and review compliance aspects of any import/export activity with the Trade Compliance Manager.
The Other Qualifications:
You have a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in supply chain management, international business or related discipline.
You have at least 4 years’ experience in international trade, customs brokerage, or import/export compliance.
You possess excellent knowledge of regulations pursuant to U.S. Department of Commerce (BIS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.
You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
