JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION : Responsible for build of clinical information systems and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems. Serves as a resource person between I/S and Patient Care Areas for the daily operational issues of hospital's clinical systems.PERFORMANCE CRITERIACRITERIA A: Everyday Excellence

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:1. Core Responsibilities
Acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.Identifying issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them.Guiding workflow design, building, and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software.Identifying and implementing requested changes to the system.Serving as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff.Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings.Working with Epic representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline.Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions.Participating in training and working with end users.Troubleshooting problems and questions.Reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.Holding weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.2. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED preferred, or 2 years' work experience. Clinical experience 3-5 years in healthcare setting.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Current Louisiana license as clinical professional preferred. Registered Nurse preferred.SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experience with personal computers (2-3 years) (ex. e-mail or internet). PC hardware troubleshooting experience helpful. Informatics analysts gain in-depth knowledge of the software by attending training at Epic and completing application certification projects and tests.HIPAA REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to medical record without limitation, patient demographics, lab results, patient financial and 3rd party billing information, patients related complaints, information related to patient location.SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to incident reporting, exposure control plan, hand washing for all age groups.
