SAIC has an opening for a Systems Engineer and will support of the Common Control System (CCS) a software intensive program that will provide simultaneous sortie planning,

control, monitoring, and post-mission analysis of multiple unmanned systems (UxS) of either similar or dissimilar

types from common software. This will be Hybrid Remote position and will require on site work in our San Diego, CA SAIC office at least one day a week.The Systems Engineer is responsible for assisting in the research, analysis, management, or testing duties related to the design, development, integration, implementation, and quality assurance of software products, programs, and systems.Assist in developing system specifications, technical and logistical requirements and other disciplines.Assist in creating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.Assist in coordinating system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.Provide assistance in managing and documenting system configurations.Contribute to all aspects of the requirement definition and execution of activities for full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the project.Participate in test coordination and oversight for all applications and systems supported by the program.Participate in and contribute to As-Is and To-Be process design and build process diagrams.Work with project leads to ensure an integrated product and to confirm requirements.Work with customer and other contractors to coordinate system rollout activities with cross functional teams including IV&V and data centers.Ensure the finished product meets the design objectives and any other appropriate criteria associated with the system requirements and Statement of Work.ADDITIONAL SKILLS:Apply modeling to support a system’s or SoS’ requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phases.Provide support to ensure systems are interoperable.Produce reports to support the management of MBSE/digital environment activities and decision making.Manage/coordinate information and resources to meet digital thread-related objectives.Implement a model-based culture, leveraging capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure of the organization.QualificationsEducation & experience:Bachelors and nine (9) years of related experience; Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics and seven (7) years of technical experience at the systems level in DoD projects; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Required skills:A minimum seven (7) years of professional experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on

Systems Modeling Language (SYSML) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

using MagicDraw.Several

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
