Job Description:

A Vice President is a core, client-facing member of our account teams. Vice Presidents are responsible for helping conceive and execute strategic programs and communications initiatives in support of Teneo clients. This may include, but not be limited to online and offline communications strategy and tactics, long-term and rapid response planning, and crisis management. Vice Presidents are highly motivated and dedicated individuals with experience in fields such as corporate strategy, communications, investor relations, government affairs, and public relations. Vice Presidents will work closely with Account Leaders to manage client engagements and deliver best-in-class service.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage communications plans and campaigns on behalf of clients.

Responsible for writing strategic plans, press releases, talking points, Q&As, briefing memos, and distributed media materials; managing messages; and coordinating client program activities.

Work directly with clients to create and execute on communications initiatives.

Manage “Core Account Team” and deliver high-quality client service.

Draw on client experiences and external trends to advise others on how to best meet clients’ current and future needs.

Begin to establish relationships with senior-level clients.

Help establish priorities based on strategic direction, considering multiple perspectives and interdependencies with others.

Ensure objectives are met within time, project, and risk parameters by establishing team objectives and plans and adapting them as required in response to change or ambiguity.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute multiplatform communications strategies; familiarity with social media recommended.

Beginning to develop strong media and business contacts.

Experience in pitching content and reporters to print, broadcast, and online media.

Ability to think creatively, approach communications from new angles, and manage both up and down the organization.

Self-starter.

Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Suggested work experience from 6 to 12 years in public relations/corporate communications/media.

Base Salary Range:

$140,000-$160,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Yes.

Total Compensation Package:

Includes annualized bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of additional benefits and perks.

Hybrid. Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York and San Francisco offices, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of

three

times a week.
