Full time, Starting Salary $41,482 – $46,031: Commensurate with Qualifications and ExperiencePosition Summary:The FM Production Content Producer serves as WUCX-FM on-air production/talent, news anchor and provides technical assistance in the production needs of WUCX-FM radio. This involves the daily production of station audio needs, such as promotional announcements, public service announcements, news reports, underwriter announcements, day sponsor announcements and other audio products. The FM Production Content Producer is a key member of all fundraising pledge drives and may also represent the radio station at various community events. The FM Production Content Producer will serve as the liaison between the local community host/producers and the Broadcasting Program Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Broadcast Operations/Radio:Oversee the day-to-day operations of Delta College Public Radio.Monitor broadcast quality of all local audio productions from local producers, students, and faculty.Acquire and record national and regional radio programming assets from multiple programming sources.Coordinate daily automated broadcast schedules to deliver programming seven days a week.Prepare and maintain daily program logs which contain feature programs, underwriting announcements and public service announcements.Maintain a weekly record of underwriters and public service announcements.Prepare affidavits of performance, as needed, for business underwriters requiring such paperwork.Production/Talent:Serve as an on-air voice talent and host of the Morning Edition.Write and voice interstitial spots to promote upcoming programs on WUCX-FM.Produce daily station audio recordings for broadcast and non-broadcast needs. Productions include: program length shows, promotional announcements, public service announcements, news reports, stock reports, weather updates, underwriter announcements, day sponsor announcements and other audio products.Write and produce on-air promotional materials designed to promote Delta College events and Delta College Public Media programming and membership.Serve as primary on-air voice talent during all WUCX-FM fundraising campaigns.Management and Supervision:Supervise all student workers and interns.Assist community producers with program productions.Assist the program manager and membership coordinator with all WUCX-FM fundraising campaigns.Assist Business Relations Coordinator in creating advertising to promote pledge drives and underwriting opportunities.Coordinate and maintain Delta College Public Radio’s social media content.Promote WUCX-FM through personal appearances during scheduled evening and weekend public events.Required Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent knowledge and skills. Major(s) required: Broadcasting, Journalism, Communications.1 to 3 years of position-related experience.Additional Experiences Considered:Four-year degree in related field of study and/or extensive professional experience.Application Deadline:
