Director, Global Toys Licensing Paramount Global The Global Toys Licensing Director has an opportunity to work across the entire Paramount Global portfolio with some of the most iconic properties in entertainment including but not limited to Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures and CBS. In this role, the Director will be in charge of leading all aspects of our Global Toys business and licensed partnerships for specific toy categories to ensure the strategic development and launch of products leading to sustained growth. They will develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate and implement deals, manage and improve our existing partner base, and lead critical initiatives. The Director will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure overall business goals are achieved. Responsibilities: Work together with the Vice President of Global Toys to formulate category strategies to meet and exceed our long-term brand plans and financial goals. Identify, develop, and complete new business initiatives in the assigned categories. Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and strategically seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers. Drive all quarterly forecasts and business reviews with licensees. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals. Serve as primary driver to provide support, information, and materials for licensees to improve development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products. Collaborate with Consumer Product business leaders, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, International Market Leads, Standards, and Legal to drive the category business strategies across all Paramount Global franchises. Collaborate with Retail Development teams to track performance, address issues and launch strategies to ensure support of all major retail initiatives. Manage team on assigned categories including providing strategic direction and career development. Specific Duties: Strategic short and long-term business planning of a global toy business. Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive landscape to share with wider organization and adapt key toy strategies where needed. Maintain weekly updates with internal and external collaborators to track performance, address issues and launch strategies. Product Development: Partner with creative team through entire product development process. Ensure licensees deliver product line suitable for core category & brand values. Collaborate with retail teams to ensure the line delivers against key account requirements. Prepare product presentations as needed for content creators or senior leadership team. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. 10+ years working within the toy industry and an entertainment licensing role, preferably managing a global business. Additional Requirements: Line Management Experience. Demonstrated ability to think strategically with a clear vision. Robust understanding of Paramount Global’s brand position and retail environment. Established relationships with toy manufacturers across a variety of categories. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong time management skills and organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of the e-commerce landscape preferred. Leads or contributes to complex projects and develops solutions. Flexible and able to adapt to diverse projects and competing priorities. Travel: Occasional Domestic & International Travel may be required. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary Range: $130,000.00 - 145,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
