Senior Connector Development Engineer
to lead innovative projects and drive engineering excellence. In this pivotal role, you’ll manage the development of 3D models and 2D prints, ensuring that our products not only meet customer specifications but also exceed industry standards.
Your Role:
As a Senior Connector Development Engineer, you will oversee engineering activities for assigned programs, coordinating the entire engineering process to achieve program milestones. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a talented group of support engineers, providing direction and fostering collaboration to deliver outstanding results.
What You’ll Do:
Innovate and Design:
Create detailed 3D CAD proposals and prepare DFMEAs, selecting materials and managing FEA to implement effective design changes.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Support various manufacturing plants, ensuring seamless communication and execution of engineering processes.
Documentation and Development:
Lead the development of service manuals and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) with prototyping to refine our products.

Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven track record in connection system product development, with a strong understanding of design attributes and industry specifications.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in CATIA, SolidWorks, or UG, with knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding.
Successful Launches:
Demonstrated experience in successfully launching at least one or two connector products.
Communication Skills:
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively within a diverse global team.
Leadership:
Ability to lead a team of designers and lab technicians towards achieving project goals.
Documentation Expertise:
Familiarity with APQP processes for comprehensive project documentation.
Bonus Skills:
Knowledge of EMI shielding techniques.
Experience running mechanical simulations with CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX.
Background in benchmarking and FEA simulation.

Pay: $106,013.00 - $127,777.00 per year
