Position Summary
As a Senior Data Analyst, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing raw data, data manipulation, data integration, data acquisition, metrics building and report generation while maintaining datasets and improving data quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will act as an intermediary between the business and the technical teams to develop and deliver data-based insights and solutions. The Analyst will own the end-to-end data journey for the given business process by defining data mapping, data lineage and data transformation, keeping an eye on data integrity, data quality and timely delivery of the relevant data.
Responsibilities
Build expertise to be the center of excellence on company data, with deep knowledge of the data across source systems, vendors, data warehouse, dashboards/reports, and provide guidance on how to use it.
Identify trends and patterns in data sets and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Structure data sets to find usable information, analyze and derive insights.
Develop and execute on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, work across teams to ensure adherence, serve as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manage operational elements.
Collect and analyze data using Google Analytics 4 to identify trends and insights related to website and app performance.
Ensure consistent data management standard application and promote consistent data across the Enterprise.
Monitor key performance indicators to measure data quality and completeness. Develop and deliver Business Intelligence metrics, reports, data conversions and mapping.
Develop and continuously improve a methodology to measure engagement and thereby impact of data interactions.
Build analytical tools/processes to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot issues and assist in the resolution of incidents. Investigate and triage variance of data within platforms to help manage discrepancies between systems of record.
Clearly define and document the data journey that aligns with the business processes.
Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets.
Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
Continuously and collaboratively prioritize efforts against areas of highest business impact. Ensure seamless communication and change management across relevant stakeholder organizations.
Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Business, IT, Vendors) to understand business needs and capabilities that can help analyze performance and return on investments.
Build effective outputs that convey the root cause/clear story of solving a business problem.
Programming and SQL skills across both structured and unstructured data.
Experience and Competencies
Minimum Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in technology, specifically in the data field.
Minimum 6 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst for Data and Analytics solutions.
Strong technical understanding of data and skills to analyze as well as visualize it.
Statistical analysis including identifying patterns and trends in the data, avoiding bias, and applying the right models/methodologies/calculations.
Attention to detail e.g., data hygiene, quality checks, documentation, etc.
Track record of success in environments with competing and continuously evolving priorities meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills in a matrixed environment. Influencing stakeholders and team members based on a command of the facts, analysis, and implications.
Should be a self-starter with a strong execution and delivery mindset.
Outstanding verbal and written communication, structured, engaging, and compelling.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors in data.
Hands-on strong proficiency with languages such as SQL, Python as well as experience with data visualization tools e.g., Tableau, Power BI.
Proven track record of solving complex problems, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, innovation, and using data to influence senior-level stakeholders. Demonstrated thought leadership with high business impact throughout career.
1-2 years hands-on experience using web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques, and experience in implementing predictive models.
Demonstrated ability to instrument Data Quality & Management standards and processes.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
Ability to understand the long-term ('big picture') and short-term perspectives of situations and how they relate to achieving targeted business outcomes.
Ability to estimate the financial and business impact of technology alternatives.
Highly Desired
Bachelors degree with a concentration in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or operations research preferred.
Masters degree in computer science or related field is a plus.
Data analytics/engineering certifications are a plus.
