is one of the world's largest professional services networks of independent accounting and consulting member firms which provide assurance, tax and advisory services to privately held businesses, public interest entities, and more.As a Cyber Privacy & Data Protection Senior Associate, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs by applying a collection of information and cybersecurity capabilities, including security and privacy, strategy, governance, IT risk, security testing, technology implementation/operations, cybercrime and breach response for the Cybersecurity & Privacy Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Risk team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentialityManage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environmentCommunicate in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal means – including delivering clear requests for information, developing responses to client requests, and communicating conflicts and risksDeep understanding of global privacy and data protection regulations, such as EU’s GDPR, and US laws such as CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, CPA, HIPAA, GLBAApply current knowledge of privacy and data protection trends, issues, and opportunities for improvementAssist clients in planning and executing remediation plans identified in assessment activitiesProactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvementsCollaborate with team members at all levels in the development and marketing of the privacy service offeringDevelop high-quality deliverables through collaboration with clients and team members to address needs and demonstrate an understanding of clients’ businessOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required, Masters preferredMinimum 2 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national levelObtained or active pursuit of one or more of the following certifications: CIPP, CIPT, CISSP, or other related certificationsExperience working with leading privacy regulations to perform privacy assessments and support privacy program implementationsExperience preparing reports and other deliverables that contain strategy, project, or technical analysis and findings in connection with consulting engagements and communicating those results to the team and clientKnowledge of privacy technology solutions and experience implementing and sustaining tools such as OneTrust, WireWheel, Securiti.ai, BigID is a plusExperience in project management and the ability to clearly communicate privacy and data protection issues verbally on both a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staffExceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsDemonstrates creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and advanced knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPointCan travel as needed.The base salary range for this position in Los Angeles, CA, Bellevue, WA, New York, NY only is between $112,300 and $168,500.At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result – for our clients and you.
