Position Description
Are you a Systems Administrator looking for a place you can make a difference every day? We are searching for a Systems Administrator in support of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Public Safety Systems (PSS) Program at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
The PSS Sustainment Program is executed by the CNIC PSS PMO and NAVFAC regional Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs). These organizations provide support to CNIC N3/N6, Navy Regions, and coordinate with Navy Systems Commands, and industry to provide sustainment services to Navy Ashore installations for PSS Program Systems/Equipment worldwide and to facilitate improvements to PSS Sustainment Program activities.
The Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Public Safety Systems (PSS) Program’s mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the Systems/Equipment to include hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.
In this role, you will:
Set up and maintain a system or specific components of a system (e.g. installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software)
Establish and manage user accounts
Oversee or conduct backup and recovery tasks
Implement operational and technical security controls; and adhere to organizational security policies and procedures
Provide critical preventive and corrective maintenance, information assurance, asset management, technical systems updates, service call resolution, and configuration management for C4I systems worldwide.
Provide Operation and Maintenance support including patch management/testing, STIG implementation and mitigation, information assurance/security, anti-virus, and data backup solutions.
Provide system administration and engineering support for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years of relevant experience
An active DoD Secret clearance
Any active DoD IAT level II compliant certification
Experience in the administration of Windows Active Directory domain management to include Group Policy Object management
Familiarity with DoD networking and security accreditation requirements
Ability to support projects at client sites where working conditions may vary
Ability to travel as needed up to 10% of the time
Additional desired experience and skills:
Experience with Cisco Call Manager
Experience with database solutions such as Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle SQL database, and data backup solutions such as BackupExec and Macrium Reflect
Experience with the implementation of vulnerability remediation and STIG configurations for system hardening
Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments
Experience with Navy Emergency Management Systems
Ability to produce system specifications, design requirements, test evaluation planning documents, and technical publications and reports
