Policy and Communications Action Officer, Junior
Key Role:Provide a Department of Defense (DoD) client with support on specific needs such as congressional affairs, public affairs, administrative duties, or financial analysis. Support the development and implementation of various DoD strategies and policies, analyze risk-based strategies for legislative planning, and develop strategic communications materials for the client. Support internal firm initiatives, including overseeing the development of internal applications and business development initiatives.Basic Qualifications:1+ years of experience in the legislative field, including with Capitol Hill, government affairs, and think tankExperience with regular direct client interactions, including supporting project delivery, delivering presentations, leading client meetings, and working independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environmentExperience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointKnowledge of the Congressional Authorization and Appropriations processSecret clearanceBachelor's degreeAdditional Qualifications:Experience with Navy, Defense, Joint Staff, or Combatant Command (COCOM) staffExperience working on Capitol Hill as a Congressional Staffer or in a DoD or Navy Office of Legislative AffairsKnowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or PythonAbility to track and comprehend acquisition and procurement goals as they move through the legislative cycle, and plan, organize, and execute tasksClearance:
