Technical Program Manager
within the
Compass team ! Help drive our team of Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers as we work together to deliver amazing experiences for our Associates and Customers in stores, using custom designed hardware and mobile software solutions.
About Team:Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites.
What you'll do:
A constant desire to improve, learn more, and take things to the next level, along with a passion for adopting the latest industry best practices.
Experience with Agile frameworks and ceremonies.
Comfortable working in a highly ambiguous environment.
Ability to navigate obstacles and find a path forward.
Ability to handle responsibilities independently, while exercising good judgment in problem-solving and keeping team members adequately informed.
Experience or demonstrated ability to lead people/teams without formal authority and earn trust with teams of all levels.
Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Excellent written and verbal skills, as well as prioritization and planning skills – with strong attention to detail.

What you'll bring:
Technical Leadership:
Understand the technical vision and strategy for the program(s) you are driving. Stay current with cutting-edge technologies and best practices in software engineering. Be able to come up to speed quickly in a new domain, when needed.
Program Management:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives and features are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor overall program progress, manage risks, including mitigation plans, and ensure high standards of quality within the program's deliverables.
Business Acumen and Strategic Planning:
Comprehend the business context of the work, use your influencing skills to help the team make decisions that align with the overall leadership vision and strategy.
Team Collaboration:
Work with a team of highly skilled engineers, designers, and product managers. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. Influence team members, as needed, to deliver the right outcomes at the right time.
Communication:
Be able to communicate with team members at various levels of skills and experience. Know when to up-level and synthesize information to be shared with Senior Leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.

Certification in Project Management.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 4 years’ experience in product design.
