About the RoleAs an Onboarding Coordinator at xAI, you will be given the opportunity to partner with some of the most talented professionals in the world: executing exceptional customer service skills to introduce new-hires to xAI, retain talent, and ensure the xAI mission is a constant reality for all employees. The xAI People Team serves as trusted professionals providing guidance and feedback to our client groups, driving efficiencies and best practices in a highly dynamic and fast-paced organization.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast paced startup-like environment wearing multiple hats. Availability, flexibility, and adaptability are the keys to success for this role.
This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, CA or Palo Alto, CA that requires up to 20% travel.
Responsibilities
Prepare and send welcome packets to new hires.
Coordinate background checks, I-9 verifications, and other pre-employment requirements.
Develop and maintain an efficient onboarding checklist to ensure all new hires receive consistent and thorough orientation.
Schedule and conduct new hire orientations, providing an overview of company culture, policies, benefits, and resources.
Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and securely stored in compliance with legal and company standards.
Track and report the progress of new hires through the onboarding process.
Utilize Rippling (HRIS) to manage onboarding logistics and data entry.
Troubleshoot issues related to onboarding processes.
Work closely with various departments to ensure all necessary preparations are made for new employees.
Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, addressing queries and concerns promptly.
Collect feedback from new hires about their onboarding experience and implement improvements to enhance future processes.
Continuously update onboarding materials and processes to reflect changes in company policies, technology, or organizational structure.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative function.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Rippling, E-Verify, Greenhouse and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong Excel skills.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Available to occasionally work evenings and weekends, as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $29 - $38.50 per hour
Your actual level and base pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base pay is just one part of your total rewards package at xAI. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses.
