Job Summary:This role will be instrumental in overseeing all areas of the employee benefits programs such as 401(k) plans, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, temporary disability programs, and wellness programs. The position will evaluate and compare our benefits with those of other employers, analyze survey results, and develop recommendations for management review. Additionally, this role will participate in open enrollment admin, manage insurance costs, work on benefits budgeting, and address benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure equitable resolution.Essential Functions:Manages and administers company employee benefits programs such as 401(k) plans, self-funded medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; and wellness programs.Evaluates and compares existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Plans, develops, and/or participates in area and industry surveys. Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.Installs approved new plans or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents, and other media for communicating plans to employees. Conducts employee meetings and arranges for enrollment.Builds open enrollment profile in ERP system annually, including updating rates and adding plans. Manages end-to-end open enrollment process to include training around new changes and how to make benefit choices, reporting, closure, transfer of files, verification of enrollment, requesting evidence of insurability and managing approvals, and payroll updating.Manages insurance costs including the review of all claims invoicing.Works with Financial Planning department regarding benefits budgeting – claims monitoring for budget adjustments.Handles benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintains contact in person, and by phone or mail, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.Provides exemplary, engaging employee education around benefits to ensure maximum utilization and ability to compare to spousal plans, for the benefit of employees.Supervises maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans.Develops an annual wellness plan to include employee communications and training on health-related tools and resources.Manages all benefit vendors, including benefit broker and insurance company relationships.Manages the Benefits Council communication, and meeting setup and provides benefit recommendations and pricing design for consideration and approval.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experienceYears of Experience: 3-5 YearsYears of Management: 1-3 YearsPreferred Licensing, Certifications and Skills:PHR or SHRM-CPEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System experienceBenefit administration and self-insured medical experienceStandard Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical/Functional Expertise: Has knowledge of the job, function, department, and its impact on customers, continues to learn and grow, stays current on changes in process, policy, and function, and fulfills responsibilities of the job.Customer & Relationship Focus: Anticipates and delivers on customer needs, manages internal/external relationships, respectful of team, resolves problems, responds with tact and diplomacy, shares pride of the brand with customers, preserves the culture.Decision Quality: Makes sound decisions quickly, gathers information, considers long-term repercussions of decisions, is accountable for decisions.Drives for Results and Quality: Takes ownership of job assignments and productivity, takes initiative, focuses on the quality and quantity of results, sets priorities and meets deadlines, and keeps management apprised of progress.Salary Range:$85,000 - $105,000. Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. This position is eligible for an annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) grant in Restricted Stock Units. All equity grants are made at the discretion of the Board of Directors.The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below.
