Cardiac Intensive Care Unit-Ellison 9 (CICU)
is a patient and family-centered 16-bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions are hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, ventricular assist devices, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures, including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement, recovery from acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure.Under a registered nurse's (RN) direction, the
Critical Care Technician (CCT)
assists the multidisciplinary healthcare team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The CCT works in that capacity but exclusively with intensive care and acute units. Ellison 9 is seeking a CCT with day and night availability to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage.What are we looking for?CCT assists patients with daily living needs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire,
